Thanks Blender Attenders,
the Blender Concept is really starting to shake things up!

Some of you may have seen the mention of the Blender Party in Maureen Scurfield's Monday " Tattletales" column in the WINNIPEG SUN... apparently the attending spy recognized that Blender Parties are just what Winnipeg needs... an excuse to dress up, go out, meet new people, share a drink with others and let your personality bloom!

BLENDER PARTIES ARE DIFFERENT
Thanks to those of you who read the dress code... you looked fabulous! It really made the party special to see great looking women and guys looking sharp! I'm sure the few who showed up in jeans forgot or weren’t informed by those that invited them... don’t worry about wearing your nice clothes.... Blender Parties are fun, but they aren't messy or rowdy!

Again, the Blender Party turned out to be a great way to meet people to-do-stuff-with. Before, after and during the party we discussed other themes and after-party activities as spinoffs of the Blender Get-togethers. Here are some of the proposed ideas:

Cricket Picnic
... Dressed in traditional white clothing, guys and girls will meet on a Sunday afternoon in the park, have a picnic basket picnic on blankets and recieve instruction from the Head Coach of the Cricket Association on how to swing the bat and hit the ball. After learning a few easy rules of Cricket, we'll have an easy practice game with experienced members of the Cricket Association.

Polo Picnic .. Bring blankets, picknic baskets and tea service to a game of polo to meet the players, learn about the game, and possibly mount a steed and swing at a ball. Those aspiring to meet and marry local royalty might want to attend!

Thanks to those of you who know what RSVP means- and had the courtesy to let me know that you were going to show up or couldn't make it for various reasons... it really helps in the preparations designed for your enjoyment! However don't worry about arriving with more people than you originally thought, or not having anything in hand... the more the merrier, and we care about meeting you and your friends, not the stuff you might bring!

BLENDER REPEAT
The Blender last Friday was so successful, we're going to do it again this Friday, September 20th. Everyone is encouraged to invite a couple of additional people to attend and PLEASE call or fax their names. I'll give you the directions, entry code and arrival time when you call (or return your fax)
